I think you were meaning the kinda of blurry softness? Which wasn’t the brush XD So I thought I’d explain. I just sketched using the pen tool. Then copied the layer, pasted it under the sketch. I blurred the lines then turned it to multiply and the opacity down by 50% to just give it a hazy feel, makes the sketch look a bit nicer doesnt it?

So I really wanted an okami/sumi-e type brush in SAI, and this is as close as I can get to what I actually want.  I didn’t expect SAI to 100% replicate real brush and ink anyhow, so this is pretty good.

There’s the settings off to the side, but you can always change them to be more to your liking of course.

If you don’t have the elemap or brushtex, I’m sure you can find them by searching for them or just ask me.  Tumblr doesn’t upload bitmap files.

Here’s a brush setting that emulates brush pens for SAI. Looks best in 600 dpi image sizes but also works well in lower resolutions.
